A mother's journey: The naked truth of motherhood

Nobody and nothing can ever prepare you to be a mom. Just like love, there's no formula that will help you perfect the phases of motherhood. I hope and I wish that the things and experiences that I will share here, will be helpful to first-time moms out there.
A lot of people say that motherhood or parenthood is such a merry journey. Yes, it is, but I am afraid not all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom and I love my kid. I just wanted to be 100% honest here. For me, motherhood is 90% joy, 8% struggle, and 2% sadness. It is 90% joy because no words can explain the happiness that you will feel every time you see your child healthy, strong, witty and not to mention looking a lot more like you or his/her dad as the days go by. 8% struggle 'coz giving birth is not at all a piece of cake. And raising a kid is not a joke. (Especially for single parents) Am telling you, it is way harder than you thought. And it is 2% sadness because along the way you will miss the days when everything was simple. From time to time, you will miss the happy go lucky life you used to live. There will also come a time where your patience will be tested by your kid's tantrums. And if these things happened, never forget the happiness that your child is giving you. Hold on to the love that you have for your kid. Never give in to the sorrow and struggles that you will encounter along the way. It is okay to feel down at times. Believe me, it is all normal. Just keep in mind, you have to be strong for your little one. And that little one will not stay that little forever. So make the most out of it. Love him/her with all your heart. Enjoy every single moment of your parenthood. :)
Cheers! 🍻🍹
