NAG IISANG IKAW

Nakangiti, nakatawa, may lambingan at pagmamahal. Challenging lang tlg n magtaguyod ng pamilya na magisa. Solo parent kung baga.  Ikaw ang nanay ikaw din ang tatay. A mother's journey: The naked truth of motherhood

Imahe
Nobody and nothing can ever prepare you to be a mom. Just like love, there's no formula that will help you perfect the phases of motherhood. I hope and I wish that the things and experiences that I will share here, will be helpful to first-time moms out there. A lot of people say that motherhood or parenthood is such a merry journey. Yes, it is, but I am afraid not all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom and I love my kid. I just wanted to be 100% honest here. For me, motherhood is 90% joy, 8% struggle, and 2% sadness. It is 90% joy because no words can explain the happiness that you will feel every time you see your child healthy, strong, witty and not to mention looking a lot more like you or his/her dad as the days go by. 8% struggle 'coz giving birth is not at all a piece of cake. And raising a kid is not a joke. (Especially for single parents) Am telling you, it is way harder than you thought. And it is 2% sadness because along the way you will miss...

Thoughts on Postpartum

Imahe
What exactly is postpartum? According to Wikipedia, Postpartum depression (PPD), also called postnatal depression, is a type of clinical depression which can affect both sexes after childbirth. For me, postpartum is simply the weird and crazy feelings or thoughts   that we   mothers, experience after giving birth.   Postpartum  is there and believe me the struggle is real! I don't know if every mom experience the same things, but what I will share to you really happened to me. After giving birth, it's kinda weird that I'm having a lot of crazy thoughts. Like, I was thinking my baby will stop breathing or my baby will have an accident. I was so scared of falling asleep, 'coz I was afraid that I might hurt my son while I'm asleep or I might sleep soundly and not see that   something bad  is already happening to him. At times I feel so down and lonely I don't even know why. There are also times when I am quite irate and my patience is nowhere to be found. A...

First Time Mom

Imahe
Is it me, or it is just normal to be paranoid when one becomes a mom? Do mothers really go through this kind of phase?  Any first-time mom here reading this? Hit me a message if you too experienced or at the moment going through the stage I'm currently in. I'll be thrilled to hear some insights from you guys. I'm quite anxious right now. I'm afraid I'll be suffering from paranoia till my last breath. Though I've read a lot of articles on motherhood before, still, I feel like I know nothing. It's really different when you are already confronted by the situation. A lot of times I feel like I am always doing things the wrong way. I worry too much these days. I don't know why. Do you think I need to see some specialist already? Oh, my… oh, my... I hope not. Well, having a kid is pretty overwhelming you know. A lot has changed in my lifestyle when my tot arrived. Like the way , I spend my weekdays, my eating habits and drinking spree. You know I lov...
